Sylvie and Coach Maya: An Interactive Story for Coaches
In this sample of Chapter 1 (of a full-length interactive story), you will meet Coach Maya, an enthusiastic and gifted life coach who specializes in helping women to actualize their dream careers. You will also meet Sylvie, an intelligent, driven woman who wears many hats: nurse, mother, wife, daughter, and friend. Sylvie is on the verge of burn-out as an Emergency Department nurse. Her dream is to open her own midwifery practice. She is hoping that hiring a coach can help her to overcome her self-limiting fears of opening a business so that she can finally live the life of her dreams: one in which she has more time to spend with her family. Before Coach Maya and Sylvie can begin working together, each must first determine whether they are a mutual coaching fit.
Help Coach Maya ask the right questions to determine whether she and Sylvie are a good coaching fit. This interaction reflects what is often known in the coaching profession as an “Exploratory” or “Discovery” call.
